CHRISTINE GAMBARDELLA (Lecturer, Dance/Movement):
Christine holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Connecticut
where she has been teaching Jazz Dance, Movement for the Actor
and Period Dance since 1989 for the Department of Music and
Dramatic Arts. Other teaching credits include Yale University,
The New Haven Ballet School, Betsy Ross Arts Magnet School,
HeadStart NH, and was the former Dance Program Director for
the JCC of Greater New Haven. Christine has choreographed
numerous productions for CRT as well as UCONN’s Opera
Workshop and Nova Musica and has recently choreographed an
exhibit “SPORTS LAB” for the CT Science Center.
Christine continues to give lectures and master classes throughout
CT and NY in both Movement and Dance for adults and young
children.
Christine’s dance training includes: Alvin Ailey American
Dance Theatre and The Martha Graham School, She has studied
under Dr. Pearl Primus, Judith Jamison, Joe Tremaine, and
Chris Mattox. For over 20 years she trained with Jean Sabatine
in Theatre Jazz Dance, Musical Theatre Dance and Movement
for the Actor. She has studied under Jennifer Martin for Period
Movement and Dance.
Certifications include Dance Masters of CT, ACES, and KinderMusik.
Christine is a three time recipient of Who’s Who Among
America’s teachers.
